The Art Behind the Epic:
Designing Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush

Ram Siya Ke Luv Kush(Premiered on Colors TV | 5 August 2019 – 10 February 2020) is an Indian historical drama series that beautifully explores the timeless epic of Ramayana through the lens of Ram and Sita’s sons, Luv and Kush. Airing on Colors TV, the show reimagines this sacred narrative for a new generation while staying rooted in the poetic elegance of Maharishi Valmiki’s original kavya.

Design Strategy for Show Launch

Designing the visual identity for a mythological series is always a delicate balance—there’s immense creative scope, yet a deep responsibility to honor cultural and ethical sensibilities. For the show's launch, Colors Studio provided us only with raw character photos from the official photoshoot. From that point onward, it was pure Photoshop craftsmanship—carefully building a cohesive aesthetic world from scratch.

Character Introduction on Social

Following the successful digital release of the TV promo, we moved into the Character Introduction phase. After several creative explorations, we landed on a “larger-than-life” visual approach, blending fictional mythological settings with digital painting techniques. The characters were placed in rich, atmospheric backdrops that gave them a divine yet accessible aura. This visual style resonated deeply with the audience and was later recognized in Facebook’s case study as one of the best-performing creative formats on social media.
